Everyone has a pair of jeans and a black t-shirt in their closet - with the help of my friend and founder of @neverfullydressed @lucyaylen7 we created three looks from basic core pieces.
Celebrating and sharing #femalefounded brands is what truly lights me up. Lucy’s designs, and more importantly demeanor, are infectious. Her Soho location is what one customer shopping in the store described as an “emotionally supportive experience.” ππ
Get inspired about your wardrobe. Use accessories. Be creative. Feel empowered and EXCITED to get dressed in the AM. There is nothing you can’t do!!! TGIF Xx #internationalwomensday

If you didn’t know already….ποΈ I SHOP FOR A LIVING ποΈ I try hundreds of products in a year from beauty to home and everything in between, always looking for the best of the best. IMO the new(ish?) @rarebeauty highlighter is π₯ a new must-have in my makeup routine — I am a little late to the game but I like to really test something before raving. Have you tried it?! lmkβ¬οΈ
#vibes π« I try TONS of beauty and hair care product on a daily basis and I have to honestly say the @thebeachwaver has become one of my #1 go-to beauty must-haves. During #nyfw the amazing @sarahpotempa styled this ~good vibes~ look inspired by some of the runway hairstyles she created this year and I can’t say enough amazing things about her, the brand, the team, and the products — SO so good π€© You can get this look at home with step-by-step instruction at goodmorningamerica.com/shop
To me THE POWER OF WOMEN is relentless, unstoppable, brave, unparalleled, constant, giving and joyful. I covered the “white” carpet last night at @variety and @lifetimetv #powerofwomen event π What an energy to be in the room with fearless women making waves in the entertainment industry and beyond. Grateful and honored. ππ»
There are so many quotes from last night that will stick with me for a while. Specifically, I asked @tamronhall for a piece of advice for young woman coming into their own power — she answered without a moment of hesitation — “Always bet on yourself, you’ll never go wrong ” and last night I did just that — I hope this weekend you can recognize your growth and rise to the occasion of YOUR life. Bet on you a little more. Happy Friday β€οΈ

Friday reminder π Don’t believe everything you see on social…you have consumed a bunch of SHIZ π© this week…good and bad. Love yourself enough to let go of negative comparison and prioritize your peace. YOU, my friend, are RIGHT where you need to be and right on time βοΈ
It was an honor to be a part of the @letsgetrealcreative podcast. Thank you so much to Wonder Woman, mom, and creative, Kelly Webber. If you know me, you know I am always looking to soak up advice from whoever is willing to offer guidance. It was a treat to turn the table and share a little of what I have learned along the way. Happy Monday, y’all! Hope this serves you π

ππ» This is what I needed to hear this week. Leave a β€οΈ below if you’re feeling this today, too!
Christmas and New Years are around the corner, which usually seems like a good time to think back on what we’ve accomplished (or wished we did) and what we’d like to do next year. We look to others who have been successful to find the next step.
For those of us creating and forging our own path, it’s hard to hear the advice of others and think “Yeah, but…”
So I thank my podcast guest and #digitalcontentcreator @caseydelbasso enormously for sharing her story of following her gut, doing what felt right, and weighing all advice against what’s right for HER. Go, girl!!
Listen to Casey on Episode 5 of the #letsgetrealcreative podcast on #spotify #iheartradio #amazonmusic #googlepodcasts or letsgetrealcreative.com website.

Want to know what Billy Joel, The Rolling Stones, U2, Cardi B, The Four Seasons, Iggy Azalea and Radiohead (and way too many others to name) all have in common? πΆ They have all graced the stage of the legendary New Haven, CT nightclub, Toad’s Place. Growing up in the New Haven area, I admit I took the famed music venue for granted. My cousin, Brian Phelps, who is the owner and president of Toad’s, had an event this week to kick off the release of his new book ‘Stories from New Haven’s Famed Music Venue’. The book is hilarious, iconic and extremely interesting for any music lover out there. Add it to your holiday shopping list. The stories Brian shares in the book feel like a “back stage pass” to some of the most beloved rock stars in the music industry. SUPER cool! πΈ Honored to have been a part of this very special night.
I’M BACK! Back in the NY groove πΆ πTook some time away from social to regroup and wow..what a difference a fresh perspective makes! HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is feeling the end of summer burnoutβοΈ πLeave me a comment and tell me something you are looking forward to this week! β¬οΈ β€οΈ
π§ I am simply honored to have been a part of such an important conversation at @athletanymetro this Saturday.
π§ One of the many reasons why I love NYC is because there is a sense of honesty that surrounds talking openly about mental illness awareness. THIS is how we start to fight the stigma that feels isolating for so many people suffering in silence. I hope we all can show compassion for those suffering with mental illness, that we can become more educated and informed on these topics, and be honest about seeking treatment when needed.
Even if this conversation helped ONE person, it’s enough for me β€οΈ
Also, a big thanks to Wonder Woman @c_fredrickson you live the #powerofshe and I am always in awe of you π
π¨ NEW UES MUST TRY ALERT! π¨ Innocent Yesterday, Guilty Today!! @innocentyesterday How fun is that name?!

Empowered, strong, smart and creative! Just a few words I think of when I reflect on these four #smallbusinessowners who I highlighted for #blackbusinessmonth on @goodmorningamerica β€οΈ During such a hard year for business owners, 17% of white-owned businesses went under only weeks into the pandemic. By comparison, during that same time, 41% of Black-owned businesses closed their doors π πͺ Check out the link in my bio to get to know a few of the many amazing Black female entrepreneurs out there β€οΈ These are the stories that make my job so special
Okay, New York…we get it…you are REALLY cool. I had such a blast this week at the #datenightisback @trycobble event at @showfields on Tuesday π Have you guys ever been to @showfields before?! π Q: “WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO TONIGHT?” A: “IDK...what do you want to do?” π
Everyone knows THAT annoying question that always rears its ugly head on date night, girls' night, or even happy hour πΈ with coworkers. In my humble opinion, the best part of any relationship is spending quality time doing things that make you happy, right?
@msjordanscott , Founder, and CEO of the @trycobble , set out to help make your "fun planning" easier.

βοΈ Success is an inside job βοΈ
Three months ago I decided to admit to myself and the world (my little bubble) that I am worthy of making my dreams a reality. For whatever reason, a lightbulb went off inside of me and I realized that a crazy dream is only crazy until you actually JUST do it.
Together my small but mighty “team” and I (@itsjackiemacdougall β€οΈ) supported and led me fearlessly into becoming unapologetic about exactly what it is I am working towards. In three short months, I launched a new YouTube channel, I engaged an IG following, a started a new job at Good Morning America, launched a TikTok, created a website and logo branding alongside the majorly talented @merakidigitalmarketingagency
So what is my point in sharing all of this? If you are reading this post and are feeling like “when is it going to be my turn” or “how do I get out of my current life situation”…..
Here are the three steps that helped me take action and just get started:
1. Be unapologetic about what you love and what you want. Have no time for people who don’t believe in YOU.
2. Release all self judgment (constant work in progress with this one
3. Aim for progress not perfection
4.HAVE. FUN. ALONG. THE. WAY.

I was taking an @orangetheory class this week (crazy, I know) and the instructor said “Put your “feelings” aside for 45 mins. Your mind and your body are so much stronger than you give yourself credit for.” I thought about it all week. WE are so much stronger than we think we are!πͺπ»Happy Friday y’all! I spend SO much money on disposable makeup wipes.π° So when I saw this sustainable @makeuperaser kit in @costco , I needed to give it a try. π This is not a paid or sponsored post, I am simply blown away by this cool reusable towel. π§ΌYou basically just add water π¦ and a full day of “on camera” makeup is gone. After a week of use, throw this little beauty 𧽠into the washer/dryer and BOOM you are ready to rock. Seriously, this might be the best invention ever. Goodbye makeup wipes….hello @makeuperaser π»
P.S After I removed my makeup, I followed up with my full night time cleansing skincare routine. Thank you @dermdrrachel β€οΈ
I love to share stories of business owners who have overcome obstacles, navigated career pivots, and embrace their voice with confidence.
Vanessa Dew (@v_dew )the Co-Founder, and CSO of @healthade shares how she navigated her career journey while embracing her true voice and family heritage. In Part One of my three-part series, Vanessa admits that at a young age she was a “denier” of her roots. It wasn’t until her later college years that she had a ‘come to Jesus’ moment that inspired her to love her rich heritage and consciously decided to use it to inspire her success. In the next two episodes of our series, we talk about her career pivot, how Health-ade was born, and so much more! Stay Tuned. β€οΈπΊ
In the words of one of my greatest inspirations, Mary Ann Wasil, @getintouchfoundation “Sometimes you just have to eat ice cream for breakfast” π¦
I had some thoughts over the weekend π
I was thinking about life and how quickly things change. Something I learned over the past few weeks, months, maybe even a year is that you have to take things as they come, the good and the bad. Realizing sometimes you are just in a season of “no” or sometimes a season of things going right. In relationships, work, and friendships....I learned that the bad times are just as important as the good because if we don’t have them then we don’t grow. Everyday is a new journey, a new opportunity to wipe the slate clean and start new again. If you are reading this, I hope on this Monday you take the good with the bad, take NOTHING personal, and continue to look forward embracing all the crazy ebbs and flows that life brings AND sometimes just eat π¦ for breakfast!
